Gerard Way's Skeleton Pyjama Order

The awards of the Academy (not the academy but the bicentennial of the Oscars), was entertaining, rejuvenated thanks to Anne Hathaway and James Franco, the latter was spent posting photos and videos on your twitter all night, and his short films celebrating the nominees of the night. However, it seemed absent of memorable moments.

lacks some surprises and there was a big winner as in times of Dances with Wolves and Titanic (not that fan is none). The acting nominations, all seemed as though something sung and well deserved, I felt it lacked the excitement of previous years, except for Melissa Leo, who seemed genuinely moved. Very proper Christian Bale, Natalie Portman thanks to the neighbor, and Colin Firth, hoping for a bit of spontaneity, especially when dealing with such a great actor. But the British at the end of the day, and out of Little Britain, all English tend to be formal. Cliché but true. Inception

did not get nominated for best director, something that Chris Nolan well deserved. A great movie that deserved other awards beyond the technical and photography. Will I ever win a film that will mix sci-fi action and good performances? closest thing to it has been awarded the Oscar The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in 2003 but still, I do not think you get closer to the style and originality that gave rise to the scene film of this new decade.

I wonder if it will happen as Martin Scorsese after losing jewelry films as Raging Bull, The Last Temptation of the Christ and Goodfellas (among others) won for the remake of the successful Asian film Infernal Affairs, The Departed. A good film but not the best in his brilliant resume.

Something similar is the case with Christopher Nolan Memento -nominated in 2002 - and David Fincher, recently nominated for The curious case of Benjamin Button but ignored at the time of his famous The Seven and Fight club. All directors with a personal style and well made but ignored against more conventional managers. Time will justice. The academy who knows.

Well, this post was diverted a bit and is not entitled no directors of the academy but loved by the public , back to what concerns us:

The Oscars are over and now we must settle accounts: In our annual trivia fell precipitously almost from the beginning of the night, failure after failure. Marsahn crushed us with 16 hits and was second Mulder place with 13 while Darina and I finished in the third - Finally, mjmph! - place with 11 points. Here I put

as was the table at the end:

has been my worst year in this business of betting (the good thing is I'm not going to the casinos). But I will be so good as we were losing, the winner receives a film that means a lot for the gift. Then tell them which gave me ...

Of course, Marsahn have to spend a list of films are there in your collection because I know I have enough, no one will be to repeat.

the next few days I'll talk a little about the nominees and will continue to complain bitterly about movies, actors and directors who have been ignored when the figurines (and years later received an honorary Oscar for not feeling so bad).

Congratulations Fernando!

Pd and the rest of us done, you have to pay the bet! Thanks for reading
